HISTORY:

Previously owned by Larry Ingram, HolyScriptures.com provided the Bible Doctrines Discussion Forum, the Eschatology Discussion Forum, The Doctrine of the Trinity Discussion Forum, and several chat-rooms. Now all of those forums are contained in just this one Bible discussion forum.

Larry Ingram also utilized an ex-Jehovah's Witness, ex-Mormon, and anti-cult format for this website. I became the owner here on 30 April 2003, and I am not continuing that format. My interest is not in promoting the division of our Father's church, the "Body of Christ", but rather unifying us in our common belief in/of His Son, our Savior: Jesus the Christ.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this forum (and this site) is to glorify God the Father, Jesus the Christ our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit with the pursuit of a greater understanding of the written Word of God by us, the Children of Light:

Eph 5:8-10
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. (KJV)

... to walk, as well as talk, in an acceptable manner to Him.

James 2:20
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? KJV

MISSION:

This site is nondenominational in that it does not support the theory of only one "church" goes to heaven and the balance of humanity is hell-bound. I am dedicated to expanding the knowledge of the Word of God as written in His letter to all of humanity, the Holy Bible. Through study and prayer, the Holy Spirit will guide us toward a greater understanding of this knowledge.

Let us engage in discussion without pursuing scriptures that support one group as being "correct" and another group "incorrect". Let's permit the Bible to be our authority for correctness, although we may each interpret some of what is written there in different ways.

May we each be a light shining forth the truth into a dark and unrepentant world.
